Provided you meet the rather narrow list of supported devices, Realtek Wireless Driver is a great driver to set you up for WLAN connectivity.
Also, it requires hardware for a network connection - you must have a wi-fi dongle or a built-in wi-fi adapter. It is also easy and quick to install, although it doesn’t come with a built-in system check to let you know if it’s not compatible with your system. On the plus side, it comes in a particularly small file size of about 38 MB. Similarly, it could lead to you being unable to connect to the wi-fi. This means that installing it for 64-bit of the same OS, or an entirely different system altogether, could lead to unexpected bugs, issues, and vulnerabilities for your system.
